It was my pleasure (Richard Senez) together with President Kelly Anne Reyes to present the Sandy Allen Scholarship, named for her more than nineteen years of dedicated service to the Club to Lana Caldwell.

This award recognizes a student who demonstrates dedication, resilience, and a strong commitment to community. Lana exemplifies these qualities through her inspiring return to school after many years, achieving excellent attendance and academic success.

It was my pleasure (Richard Senez) with President Kelly Anne Reyes to present a scholarship to Joseph Byrne. This award recognizes a student who demonstrates dedication, perserverance, and strong commitment to personal growth. Joseph Byrne has shown exceptional discipline this year, maintaining excellent attendance, submitting all work on time, and achieving strong success in both math and english.  

On Sunday (Fathers Day) June 21, 2026 The Club volunteered at mile 4 water station for the 35th straight year and for the 25th year under the supervision of Joe Nemeth. A record number of 14,000 runners.

 

On May 2, 2026 the club members ran another successful annual Shredfest. Many thanks to GFL and the St. Vital Centre as well as all the volunteers and the community for making this another worthwhile community project. Mother nature also cooperated by holding off the rain until after wrap up occured. 

The 2026 ShredFest was a great success with over 270 boxes of shredding put through the shredding truck.  Mother nature co-operated, although a bit chilly in the morning.  Thank you to St Vital Centre and GFL Environmental Inc. for their continued support!

Richard Senez & Al Snyder were present at Windsor Park Collegiate to present a cheque to Annissa Hussey of the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation in support of the bike being presented to a very deserving young man.

With the support of the Rotary Club of Winnipeg St. Boniface St. Vital, Teen Stop Jeunesse Inc. / Patrick LeBlanc’s Centre 24/7 was able to deliver 18 hampers to families in need, as well as snacks etc. On behalf of Teen Stop Jeunesse Inc. / Patrick LeBlanc’s Centre 24/7, I would personally like to thank the Rotary Club for their support in this endeavor.

Once again, many thanks to the St Vital/St Boniface Rotary Club for your generous donation.  Your kindness and support made it possible for us to purchase essential items to help 42 families in our Woodydell Community. Your continued support is greatly appreciated!

On November 17th twelve members, family and friends attended at Manitoba Harvest for a shift as volunteers.  

President Kelly-Anne thanked those attending, the sponsors, the Winnipeg Winter Club and all those who made this event possible.

 

The funds raised this evening will support the club in its community projects for this fiscal year.

Members of the Club were on hand for Dieudonne's Adaptive Bike presentation this morning at Ecole Marie-Anne Gaboury school with the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation.

On Wednesday July 9, 2025 past President Richard handed over the reins to our incoming President Kelly-Anne Reyes. Richard thanked the club members and his Board for their support over the last year and promised to support the new President over the next year. Kelly-Anne has high hopes for this Rotary year with new events and a fun filled year ahead.
